Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our fleet operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our vehicles by performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles and equipment to prevent breakdowns and reduce downtime.
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with vehicle systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components.
  • Conduct annual inspections on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on fleet vehicles.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless fleet operations and minimize downtime.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in heavy duty truck repair preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair; ASE certifications and EPA section 608 certification a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with drivers, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent travel to various locations, including warehouses and distribution centers. The associate will be exposed to varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and humidity. The associate will also be required to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities.
