Position Overview:

We are seeking exceptional candidates who are intelligent, skilled, driven, and committed to a role that entails delivering top-notch support in the production of engineered goods. This role is dependent on contract approval. The chosen candidate will operate at our manufacturing site with a flexible combination of in-office and remote work. The primary duty of this position is to execute various procurement tasks for materials, services, and technologies essential for the production of engineered goods. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and practical abilities to identify, manage, and issue RFQs, purchase requests, and perform regular price assessments to guarantee the most favorable pricing for each material/service/technology for both indirect and direct acquisitions.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Request quotes for materials and finished products based on business and engineering specifications
  • Procure all supplies and materials necessary for manufacturing activities
  • Process purchase orders and relay invoices to the accounts payable team
  • Negotiate with vendors and cultivate relationships to secure competitive pricing
  • Assist in establishing and managing a purchasing budget for engineered product production
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards and manufacturing protocols
  • Manage multiple tasks effectively and complete them concurrently
  • Communicate clearly and provide documentation to support the procurement process
  • Address inquiries and concerns from internal stakeholders to facilitate manufacturing operations

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management within the manufacturing sector for engineered products
  • Proficiency in sourcing hardware, software, and services for manufacturing processes
  • Experience in both sole source and competitive/non-competitive procurement is preferred
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the capability to collaborate with various stakeholders
