Position Overview:
We are seeking dynamic, skilled, and dedicated individuals for a role that focuses on delivering exceptional support in the production of engineered goods. This position is dependent on contract approval. The chosen candidate will operate from our manufacturing site with a blend of both in-office and remote responsibilities. The primary duty of this position is to execute various procurement tasks for materials, services, and technologies essential for the production of engineered goods. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge and practical skills to identify, manage, and issue RFQs, purchase requests, and perform regular price evaluations to secure the most favorable pricing for each material/service/technology, covering both indirect and direct purchases.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Request quotes for materials and end-products based on business and engineering specifications
- Acquire all necessary supplies and materials for manufacturing processes
- Process purchase orders and relay invoices to the accounts payable department
- Engage in negotiations with suppliers and nurture relationships to guarantee competitive pricing
- Assist in establishing and maintaining a purchasing budget for the manufacturing of engineered products
- Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards and manufacturing protocols
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
- Communicate clearly and provide documentation to support the procurement process
- Address inquiries and challenges from internal stakeholders to facilitate manufacturing operations
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree, ideally in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management within the manufacturing sector of engineered products
- Proven experience in sourcing hardware, software, and services for manufacturing
- Familiarity with sole source and competitive/non-competitive procurement is preferred
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities with a capacity to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
