Clinical Child Psychologist Mood Dysregulation Specialist

About the RoleWe are seeking a Clinical Psychologist with experience in treating mood dysregulation in children and teens to join our team at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory Department of Pediatrics. The successful candidate will work within our Children's general outpatient clinic as well as within an acute Bridge Clinic, providing rapid access outpatient care via interdisciplinary treatment team to meet the acute mental health needs of children and teens who have recently sought acute/urgent care for their symptoms.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, parent training, and case management for patients recently discharged from an acute psychiatric care setting or Children's inpatient team.
- Work closely with child and adolescent psychiatrists, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, behavioral and mental health therapists, and nurse case managers to develop and implement a comprehensive care plan for each patient.
- Participate in the training of psychology doctoral interns and postdoctoral fellows as well as other behavioral mental health trainees.
- Opportunities for program development across our acute clinical care settings are possible.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA/CPA accredited program and must have completed an APA accredited child internship. Additionally, applicants must have expertise in treating children and adolescents using evidence-based treatment approaches. This position is open to both early career and experienced psychologists. Applicants should be licensed or licensed-eligible in Georgia prior to employment and must obtain board certification within hospital timelines.
