Job Title: Registered Nurse

USA Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical Unit team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide family-centered nursing care to patients and their families, adhering to policies and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Supervise, plan, evaluate, and coordinate patient care provided by other licensed and non-licensed staff.
  • Assist with diagnostic procedures and perform therapeutic procedures as needed.
  • Administer medications, including controlled substances, by all routes.
  • Respond to emergency patient situations and perform basic life support and management of arrest situations.
  • Start IVs and perform activities of daily living.
  • Provide patient education by planning, coordinating, and delegating educational needs as appropriate.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Complete ADP, flow chart, pain assessment tool, discharge forms, and MAR within unit time frames.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and finalize patient care records.
  • Transcribe physician orders and complete all mandatory unit, educational, and hospital requirements.
  • Utilize cost-effective practices in performing all aspects of the job.
  • Adhere to current Infection Control and Safety Standards.
  • Maintain current knowledge base of all unit policies and procedures, equipment location, and supplies.
Qualifications:
  • Current Alabama RN license or current Multi-State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama.
