Job Title: Operations Leader

At Owens Corning, we are seeking an experienced Operations Leader to join our team in Savannah, GA. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading employees to deliver business results for the Savannah facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead with a clear view of the organization's current and future needs, developing a 5-7 year perspective and consistently delivering results to achieve that view.
  • Model and teach decision-making approaches that include analytics, team ideas, and personal experiences, communicating in a way that positively shapes customer, team member, and plant focus.
  • Build a culture where safety is the priority, ensuring a safe, clean, and environmentally compliant work environment.
  • Train and develop employees to safely perform their jobs, leading and supporting safety initiatives and processes to drive towards zero recordable injuries.
  • Effectively communicate Owens Corning's stand on safety throughout the Operations Department, ensuring front-line leaders and employees believe in and behave in a manner that supports our stand that all accidents are preventable, safety is everyone's responsibility, and that working safely is a condition of employment at Owens Corning.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing facility or environment.
  • Undergraduate degree required, Master's degree in a related area preferred.
  • Experience in leading, assessing, and developing talent to deliver results.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated capability in change management.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of management and all hourly employees.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Certification is preferred at time of hire and required within two years in the job.
  • Lean manufacturing experience.
  • Experience working in a union environment preferred.
