Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team at the San Quentin Rehabilitation Center. As a Recreation Therapist, you will be responsible for developing and conducting therapeutic recreation and leisure activities for patients, monitoring supplies, and ensuring the safety and security of work areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and conduct therapeutic recreation and leisure activities for patients
  • Monitor supplies and submit requests for supply orders
  • Supervise patients and ensure their safety and security
  • Maintain the safety and security of work areas
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a bachelor's degree in recreation or recreation therapy, or a related field. You must also be certified as a recreation therapist by the California Board of Recreation and Park Certification or the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification, Inc.
