Job Title: Service Technician

We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our team at Dobbs Equipment. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for the repair, diagnosis, and maintenance of heavy equipment and components for our Road Building/Paving department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and components
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Install and replace parts and components as needed
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance and operation
  • Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • 2+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
  • Forklift Certification
  • Ability to communicate effectively with teammates
Work Environment:

The Service Technician will work in a fast-paced service field setting, exposed to changing temperatures, wet or humid conditions, noise, vibration, fumes, odors, dust, and close proximity to moving mechanical parts.

The physical demands of this job include the ability to work using Personal Protective Equipment, including respirators, welding shields, hard hats, vests, safety glasses, goggles, gloves, and the ability to use full range of motion for back, arms, hands, and fingers.

The Service Technician will be required to lift or carry loads greater than 50 lbs but less than 75 lbs and will be regularly required to talk or hear at moderate noise levels.
