About the Role

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is a critical member of our team, responsible for overseeing the operations of their assigned unit during their shift. This includes effective communication with dispatch, hospitals, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for service, providing Basic Life Support (BLS) services as needed and within clinical guidelines.
  • Efficiently and timely complete patient care reports via electronic Patient Care Report (ePCR) for all responses and patient contacts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized unit, ensuring all equipment is on-board, in working order, and in date.
  • Collaborate with Advanced Life Support (ALS) personnel to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Perform daily unit check sheets and ensure all necessary equipment is available and functioning properly.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire.
  • High School Diploma or GED (degree preferred).
  • Prefer one (1) year of experience as an EMT or first responder.
  • Must have and maintain certification as a State & Nationally Registered EMT for the duration of the assignment.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, move 150lbs independently (300lbs with a partner).
  • Flexibility to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for service at any given moment while on shift.
