Emergency Medical Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Emergency Medical Technician to join our team at Thorne Ambulance Service. As an EMT, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of your assigned unit, providing Basic Life Support services, and ensuring the efficient completion of patient care reports.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with a team to successfully manage a single ambulance operation.
- Respond to and complete requests for service in accordance with organizational policy and industry standards.
- Timely completion and submission of patient care reports, utilizing sound clinical judgment and excellent written communication skills.
- Direct patient care, including Basic Life Support and collaboration with Advanced Life Support personnel.
- Ensure the maintenance of equipment, quarters, and units in accordance with organizational policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move 150lbs independently (300lbs with a partner).
- Be able and willing to be seated, standing, walking, etc. for long periods of time.
- Have the ability to work in extreme temperatures based on environmental conditions.
- Have the ability to successfully mitigate stressful situations with co-workers, other healthcare providers, patients, and the public.
- Flexibility to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for service at any given moment while on shift.
