Underwriting Internship Opportunity

Zurich offers 10- to 12-week full-time summer internships in various areas, including Actuarial, Claims, Corporate Communications, Finance, Human Resources, IT, Marketing, Operations, Predictive Analytics, and Underwriting. You'll enjoy competitive pay, paid time off, and 401(k) contributions, while adding solid credentials from a renowned global insurance organization to your resume.
Key Responsibilities- Underwriting basics – You'll learn about the underwriting process and gain hands-on experience in a mentor-led environment.
- Basic business unit financial reporting – You'll work with financial reports and data analysis to support business decisions.
- Financial reports for upcoming meetings through UW Desktop and Power BI – You'll develop skills in data visualization and reporting.
- Pipeline management – You'll learn about pipeline management and how to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Preparation and participation in presentations and stewardship meetings – You'll develop presentation and communication skills.
- Loss summary review and inputs – You'll analyze data and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Attending a broker meeting with Mentor – You'll gain experience in client-facing interactions.

- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program in the fall semester following the internship.
- Must be a rising junior or rising senior at the time of the internship.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Minimum cumulative GPA average of 3.0 (current GPA reported by your school).
- Demonstrates problem-solving skills in a customer-focused environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Analytical skills.
- Excel and PowerPoint experience.
- Self-motivated, punctual, professional, and able to work independently.
Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors, including office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Zurich provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles, as required by local law. For additional information about our Total Rewards, click here.
Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill, and education.
The starting salary range for this position is $22.50.
