Job Overview

Sunkeeper Solar, a leading provider of solar energy solutions in the New York Metropolitan Area, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Solar Project Coordinator.

This exciting opportunity will be based in our downtown Brooklyn office but require occasional visits to job sites across the NYC metro area. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in distributed generation, a strong understanding of renewable energy design and implementation, and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with our project managers, engineers, and technicians to ensure seamless execution of projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Support: Assist in producing and refining PV system energy models using Helioscope software.
  • Drafting & Documentation: Create accurate drawing sets for submittals, regulatory filings, construction, quality control, and consulting presentations.
  • Procurement Management: Research equipment and procure quotes, perform cost-benefit analyses to value engineer Sunkeeper projects.
  • Construction Administration: Prepare submittal packages, compile project documentation to produce closeout packages.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with standard office software (MS Word, Excel, Gmail, etc.).
  • Ability to travel to job sites in the NYC metropolitan area.
  • Physical requirements: while the position is primarily an office position, SKS is a construction company and will call personnel into the field for certain labor-intensive operations such as mobilizations and demobilizations.
  • Experience with technical drawing & drawing software (AutoCAD LT preferred).
  • Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

Compensation & Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
