Job Title: Special Events Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Special Events Coordinator to join our team at La Canita. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for planning and executing all aspects of special events, from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and solicit special event business through advertising, cold-calling, and relationships with local businesses
  • Consult with customers to determine objectives and requirements for events
  • Negotiate final pricing, prepare contracts, and secure customer signatures
  • Develop and maintain an updated and detailed price sheet of all billable products and services
  • Coordinate services for events, such as accommodation, transportation, facilities, catering, signage, displays, and special needs requirements
  • Requisition or obtain equipment and supplies needed for each event
  • Confer with staff at chosen event sites to coordinate details
  • Maintain records of event aspects, including financial details
  • Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in events coordination or management
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
