We are seeking an experienced Transmission Planning Engineer to support HV utilities projects remotely for an engineering firm located in Texas.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of experience in the industry working within software packages such as PSS/E or Powerworld.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform power system impact studies including load flow, short circuit, and dynamic stability analysis
  • Prepare reports, letters, one-line diagrams, and transmission maps
  • Process, generate, and maintain data as required for other engineering-related studies
  • Take responsibility for the timely completion of projects assigned while meeting all project quality and budget objectives
  • Identify training needs and present to the Engineering Manager
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of Transmission Planning experience
  • 2+ years of PSS/E or Powerworld experience
  • 2+ years of interconnection studies experience
  • Bachelor of Science (or higher) in power systems
  • Experience with PSS/E and Powerworld
