Key Responsibilities:
- Establish connections with parents of children with cancer to deliver protocol-specific support.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to facilitate informed consent discussions with parents.
- Observe, assess, and report potential challenges to appropriate team members.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in line with institutional policies.
- Meet with parents/guardians and patients before and after oncology appointments to facilitate discussions and clarify information.
- Participate in informed consent processes alongside oncology doctors, parents, and patients.

- Familiarity with navigating issues related to death and dying is preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey information clearly to parents and healthcare team members.
- Capability to support decision-making and address parents' questions through motivational interviewing.
- Organized, flexible, and adaptable to changing needs.
- Must practice discretion and adhere to hospital confidentiality guidelines.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
