Position: Syndicated Loan Settlement Specialist

Location: Hybrid (2 days onsite)

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Compensation: $27.58/hr on W2

Position Summary:

  • The primary objective of a Syndicated Loan Settlement Specialist is to manage client relationships related to Trade Settlement.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and loan settlement solutions to a diverse client portfolio while meeting stringent deadlines and performance targets.
  • This role provides opportunities to interact with various industry stakeholders, including portfolio managers, custodians, and agent banks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise client portfolios and agency trades within our loan Trade Closing outsourcing services.
  • Proactively engage and communicate effectively with both internal and external clients.
  • Manage counterparties' expectations regarding the review of primary and secondary par and distressed trade documentation.
  • Coordinate trade closings among clients, counterparties, and agents, which may involve collaboration with legal counsel for distressed transactions or participations.
  • Examine trade documents, such as trade confirmations, assignment agreements, and funding memos for inconsistencies prior to settlement, including the use of third-party systems.
  • Oversee outstanding trades and maintain comments in accordance with client expectations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of closing packets to custodians and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive understanding of par and distressed loans and their associated documentation.
  • Familiarity with trade fee calculations.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze credit agreements.
  • Experience handling daily loan transactions.
  • Exposure to ClearPar, VTS, or Markit WSO systems is advantageous.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in the financial sector.

Required Skills:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in syndicated bank loan settlement or management is preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to job responsibilities.
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of tasks.
  • Proficient in performing job duties accurately and within established timelines.
  • Must adhere to deadlines and performance targets.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.

Communication Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare various reports and metrics for internal management or specific client requests.

Team Collaboration:

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to assist other departments during peak periods or quarter-end activities.
