At GE Aviation, we are seeking a skilled Electronic Repair Specialist to join our team in Grand Rapids. As an Electronic Repair Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our electronic communication components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain electronic assemblies, including avionics equipment, communication centers, and beacon transmitters.

  • Work from rework orders, work instructions, blueprints, and verbal instructions to complete repairs.

  • Quote and manage time spent on repair jobs, documenting work in an online business system.

  • Perform limited levels of evaluation of product and repairs, including fiber optics inspection, circuit board X-ray evaluation, and resistance checks.

  • Interface with peers, test technicians, and customer service personnel with minimal supervision.

  • Manage time between multiple repair activities with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Two years' experience in the electronics industry.

  • Demonstrated electronics soldering experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Enhanced computer skills using Microsoft suite of software tools.

  • Experience with MRP systems.
