Job Title: Electronics Assembly Specialist

At L3 Harris, we are seeking a skilled Electronics Assembly Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations, including skilled hand work and the use of automated production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and comprehend technical specifications, terms, and documents to determine the sequence of operations for assembly units.
  • Perform moderately complex assembly or rework functions, including attaching mechanical and electrical components, wiring harnesses, soldering connections, and intermediate assembly tasks.
  • Disassemble products to any level and perform rework/repair activities to achieve acceptable function, configuration, or airworthiness condition.
  • Perform material control functions, including picking components, applying material control identification, inventory counting, and requisition transactions using our ERP system.
  • Perform serialization and product ID labeling, and operate PC-based serial number database programs and label generation computer programs.
  • Perform hand soldering of through-hole and surface mount components to the specification standards of IPC A610 and JSTD 001.
  • Perform dimensional and visual acceptance inspections of all assigned products to IPC A610 and L3Harris ISO SOP and WI standards documents.
Requirements:

We require a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Industry standard solder skills are preferred but not necessary upon hire. Successful candidates will receive internal training if necessary and will be required to pass IPC A610 and JSTD 001 solder and rework certification tests. Current certification to IPC A610 and JSTD 001 is preferred.
