Job Overview

The Patient Services Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations within our pediatric practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently manages patient appointment scheduling to optimize time slots.
  • Contacts patients regarding outstanding balances before future appointments.
  • Exhibits exceptional customer service skills in both telephonic and face-to-face interactions.
  • Handles multiple incoming calls with professionalism.
  • Collects co-pays and any outstanding balances during patient visits.
  • Ensures that all necessary demographic information is collected during check-in.
  • Accurately takes and relays detailed messages to appropriate staff members.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient and office information.
  • Demonstrates professionalism in all interactions with patients, staff, and healthcare providers.
  • Completes various administrative tasks, including printing immunization records.
  • Assists in covering staff shortages as needed.
  • Takes initiative to support other administrative functions, such as medical records management and referral processing.
Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma required.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a reception role within a healthcare environment is preferred.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficient typing skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is a plus.
