Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Lubbock County, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and renovation of all facility infrastructure and grounds. This includes performing work with hand tools, operating motorized vehicles and equipment, and completing preventative maintenance inspections on county facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks on various equipment and systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
  • Operate motorized vehicles and equipment, such as forklifts, scissor-lifts, and tractors.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections on county facilities and document findings.
  • Inventory and order supplies as needed to complete jobs.
  • Install and move furniture, filing cabinets, and other supplies as required.
  • Assist senior maintenance technicians with repairs and replacements of doors, locks, floor tile, ceiling tile, and other building components.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High school graduation or equivalent, plus at least 2 years of experience in maintenance and repair.
  • Texas Driver's License.
  • Vocational/Trade school or courses a plus.

Working Conditions
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines.
  • May be required to work in confined spaces, office buildings, and warehouses with standard lighting.
  • May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and loud noise.
