Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our team at Acadian Ambulance Service. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on our ambulance vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and repair company vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on our ambulance fleet and other company vehicles to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Write detailed work tickets to document repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Perform mechanical-related repairs, including electrical repairs, to get vehicles back on the road quickly.
  • Work collaboratively with shop employees and supervisors to ensure efficient and effective vehicle maintenance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Clean driving record and a valid driver's license (Class-D Required).
  • Two to three years of mechanical experience, with on-the-job training provided.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, including reading, writing, and speaking skills.
  • Ability to use hand tools and specialized tools.
  • Basic hand tools required.

Training Requirements
  1. Orientation to job requirements and company policies.
  2. Completion of Acadian General Orientation.
