Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Development Professional to join our team at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that promote the physical, emotional, and educational growth of our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Establish and maintain a weekly/monthly programs calendar that aligns with organizational goals and mission.
  • Program Implementation: Develop and implement programs that encourage member participation and provide instruction and constructive feedback to develop skills in program areas.
  • Member Engagement: Create an environment that promotes and stimulates program participation, and register new members and participate in their club orientation.
  • Program Evaluation: Continuously evaluate programs to ensure they meet the needs of members and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate as part of a team to run quality programs, and may be required to drive the Club van.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Combined experience and/or formal training equivalent to minimum of 2 years.
  • Skills: Knowledge of youth development, excellent communication and inter-personal skills, ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems, ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth, and ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
Working Conditions

The job requires daily contact with club staff, club and teen center members, outside organizations and individuals to plan, coordinate and deliver programs. Normal internal office environment. Travel to special events and field trips may be required. Must be able to work daily afternoon/evening hours. Occasional weekend hours may be required to accomplish objectives.
