Job Summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Augusta is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Youth Development Professional to join our team. As a key member of our program team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that promote youth development, education, and character building.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement programs that align with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community partners, schools, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support to youth members, including mentoring and coaching.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of program plans.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; combined experience and/or formal training equivalent to a minimum of 2 years.
  • Knowledge of youth development principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and manage behavior problems in youth.
  • Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
  • Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.

Work Environment:

The Youth Development Professional will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, interacting with youth, staff, and community partners on a daily basis. The position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing in excess of 25lbs. Occasional weekend hours may be required to accomplish objectives.
