Transportation Project Coordinator

As a Transportation Project Engineer at Cranston, you will play a key role in developing, planning, coordinating, and performing engineering work for multiple projects. This position requires a broad knowledge of engineering principles and practices, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will assist in designing roadway projects, including coordination with traffic, bridge design, transportation planning, and environmental engineering. Additionally, you will be responsible for resolving complex problems, communicating with project team members and clients, and performing accurate analysis and design. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing roadway projects, including coordination with traffic, bridge design, transportation planning, and environmental engineering.
- Resolve complex problems, including conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
- Communicate with project team members, clients, and review agencies to ensure project success.
- Perform accurate analysis and design, including cost estimates and final construction documents.
- Conduct periodic construction site observations and attend project meetings as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or technical equivalent.
- 1+ years of civil engineering experience or technical equivalent.
- EIT required, P.E. a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in traffic engineering and/or traffic planning projects.
