Our Claims Professionals in Employment Practices Liability take pride in their contributions and enjoy collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, including Law Enforcement, Human Resources, and various legal disciplines, enriching the team's perspective.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster a collaborative environment by introducing innovative ideas and demonstrating teamwork, motivation, and a positive attitude to achieve objectives.
  • Conduct thorough and timely investigations and evaluations of complex Employment Practices Liability insurance claims.
  • Develop, document, and implement effective strategies for early and cost-efficient resolution of assigned claims.
  • Represent the organization in meetings with management and business partners, as well as in virtual mediation sessions.
  • Utilize technology tools to efficiently manage and track your caseload.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including clients, underwriters, and agents.
  • Exhibit sound claims handling practices by ensuring compliance in investigation, coverage assessment, loss evaluation, and case management.
  • Assist in training new claims examiners and provide mentorship.
Qualifications:
  • Preferred: BA/BS degree. JD is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in handling claims of similar complexity or in a legal capacity.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strong commitment to delivering superior performance that adds value to our organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adept at evaluating, analyzing, and interpreting technical information.
  • Strong decision-making abilities.
  • Proven capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated initiative and leadership qualities.
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new concepts and situations.
  • Willingness to employ creative thinking to navigate challenges and develop innovative solutions for clients.
Additional Requirements:

Applicants must obtain an applicable resident or designated home state adjusters license, along with any necessary additional state licensure.

Training:
Chubb provides a comprehensive training program led by managers, claims examiners, and defense counsel, combining classroom instruction with practical experience to prepare Claims Examiners for full responsibilities. Training encompasses a wide range of knowledge and skill development, including:
  • Building relationships with internal clients (e.g., underwriters)
  • Analyzing initial claim reports
  • Understanding the legal framework
  • Effectively investigating and documenting findings
  • Grasping Chubb's products to determine appropriate coverage
  • Interpreting and applying insurance contracts
  • Negotiating settlements
