About the Role

Chubb is seeking a skilled Senior Underwriter to join our team in the Financial Lines division. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for underwriting individual commercial risks within the new business team (NBS), focusing on Professional Liability/E&O and Cyber insurance products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand the fundamentals of insurance coverage, terms, and conditions.
  • Cultivate relationships with agents and brokers while using these relationships to place business with Chubb.
  • Market Chubb's competitive advantages in the marketplace and negotiate pricing and terms and conditions in a competitive marketplace that meet the customer's needs and positions Chubb to achieve a profit.
  • Identify, analyze, and assess risk exposures, special or common hazards, and appropriate control.
  • Ability to base communications on strategic thinking and problem-solving.
  • Ability to use systems and software programs needed to conduct daily business.
  • Ability to analyze claims and quantify losses.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
  • Determine terms and conditions and utilize complex rating plans.
  • Bind coverage.
  • Document the underwriting files.
  • Handle an assigned territory/book of business.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or business is preferred.
  • 1+ years of Underwriting experience or similar role.
