Nurse Practitioner Opportunity in Critical Care

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Critical Care team at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center.

About the Job

This 21-bed combined Intensive Care and Progressive Care unit provides high-quality care to critically ill patients with various life-threatening medical, cardiovascular, neurological, and surgical needs.

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in evaluating patients, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based treatments.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients, develop, and implement individualized care plans, promoting accurate diagnoses and effective treatment
  • Conduct physical exams, order diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications as needed, ensuring safe and efficient care delivery
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, promoting seamless transitions and optimal outcomes
  • Promote patients' independence by educating them about conditions, medications, and self-care skills, empowering them to take control of their health
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited NP program, Doctoral degree preferred
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Texas or a compact state required upon hire
  • American Heart Association (AHA) approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certifications required within 90 days of hire
  • Minimum two (2) years of recent Critical Care experience as a Nurse Practitioner required
