Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center in Texas.

About the Role

This is a dynamic opportunity for a skilled nurse practitioner to provide high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. As an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner, you will work collaboratively with medical providers and the care team to deliver personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care to patients with orthopedic conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures.
Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse with Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Masters Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.

St. David's North Austin Medical Center offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
