About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Physical Design Methodology CAD Engineer to join our Silicon Technologies group. As part of this team, you'll play a crucial role in designing and manufacturing our next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processor, system-on-chip (SoC).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions in physical design and optimization space.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve key physical design challenges.
  • Design and develop custom CAD tools for implementation and signoff.
  • Drive EDA tool vendor interactions to resolve tool issues and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain best-in-class PPA and productivity methodologies, including ML-based solutions.
Requirements
  • Experience in CAD Tool, CAD flow, or PD methodology.
  • Proficiency in Tcl, Python, or Perl scripting languages.
  • Expertise in physical design analysis, including extraction, timing, noise, physical verification, and EMIR.
  • Minimum requirement of BS+10 years of relevant industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to coordinate and drive initiatives with little to no oversight.
  • Hands-on knowledge of industry-standard PNR tools.
  • Hands-on experience with high-performance and low-power implementation flows.
