About the Role:

As a Medical Support Specialist at BioLife Plasma Services, you will play a vital role in supporting plasma center operations. Your primary responsibility will be to determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, and review laboratory test results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine donor eligibility, including proper management of informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self-exclusion.
  • Manage donor adverse events, which occur at the facility, as outlined in the SOPs.
  • Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable test results.
  • Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees, as applicable.
  • Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
  • Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: LPN or LVN.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
  • Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy.
  • Satisfactorily complete the FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
  • Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
