Key Responsibilities:


Conduct geotechnical analyses and designs for a variety of projects and infrastructures, including shallow and deep foundations, retaining walls, settlement assessments, tieback anchors, soil nails, slope stability evaluations, and seepage analyses.

Assist in the development of comprehensive reports and documentation, geotechnical communications, as well as design and construction drawings and specifications.

Support the planning of subsurface investigations and laboratory testing activities.


Carry out subsurface investigations to aid geotechnical design and assessment tasks, including test boring oversight, site evaluations, and other necessary data collection efforts.

Provide specialized geo-construction oversight during the construction phase of diverse projects.


This role may require travel to various offices or project sites as needed, which may include overnight stays.


Essential Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.


0-3 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, particularly in subsurface exploration and/or the creation of geotechnical deliverables such as reports, drawings, and specifications.

A demonstrated passion for geotechnical engineering through relevant coursework, work experiences, or internships.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical, organizational, and report writing capabilities.

Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team setting.

Exceptional field observation and data collection/documentation skills.

Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Must be capable of lifting 30 pounds and navigating steep slopes and rugged terrain.

A valid Driver's License is required.

Desirable Qualifications:
A Master's Degree with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering is preferred.

Familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD is advantageous.

E.I.T. certification is highly preferred.

Experience with common geotechnical software applications such as SLIDE, SLOPE/W, LPILE, APILE, GROUP, GRLWEAP, Settle3, and gINT is beneficial.

$68,000-$86,000

Salary is contingent upon experience and geographic location.
