We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Tague Lumber's Custom Millwork Division in Phoenixville, PA. The ideal candidate will utilize computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery to perform a variety of functions with precision and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, and other precision operations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications to understand task requirements.
  • Translate instructions into computer commands to program machines for optimal performance.
  • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto machines, ensuring accurate and efficient production.
  • Conduct test runs to verify machine output meets specifications.
  • Set machines to complete full cycles for large-scale production runs.
  • Monitor machine performance, making adjustments as needed to achieve optimal results.
  • Inspect and measure finished products to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Maintain machinery daily to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a CNC operator in a custom woodworking shop.
  • Proficiency in operating CNC machinery, tooling, and precision measurement tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
  • Basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM software.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong math skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in engineering or a relevant discipline is a plus.
  • Successful completion of an apprenticeship is required.
