We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at Tague Lumber's Custom Millwork Division in Phoenixville, PA. The ideal candidate will utilize computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery to perform a variety of functions with precision and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, and other precision operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications to understand task requirements.
- Translate instructions into computer commands to program machines for optimal performance.
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto machines, ensuring accurate and efficient production.
- Conduct test runs to verify machine output meets specifications.
- Set machines to complete full cycles for large-scale production runs.
- Monitor machine performance, making adjustments as needed to achieve optimal results.
- Inspect and measure finished products to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Maintain machinery daily to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a CNC operator in a custom woodworking shop.
- Proficiency in operating CNC machinery, tooling, and precision measurement tools.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
- Basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM software.
- Mechanical aptitude and strong math skills.
- A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in engineering or a relevant discipline is a plus.
- Successful completion of an apprenticeship is required.
