Job Description

Job Summary:

Bon Secours is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to fill the role of Clinical Supervisor in our Surgical Services department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of the unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and providing leadership and guidance to our nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and supervision of unit goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with hospital-wide initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain quality patient care standards, collaborating with other departments and medical staff to achieve excellence.
  • Direct patient care priorities, adjusting staffing levels to meet the needs of our patients in a cost-effective manner.
  • Provide leadership and direct supervision to nursing staff, ensuring they have the necessary tools and support to deliver exceptional care.
  • Assist in the administrative and clinical direction of the unit, coordinating nursing department functions and activities as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families, promoting patient and family advocacy within the unit.
  • Manage resources in a cost-effective manner, ensuring accurate maintenance of patient records and adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Respond to emergency situations on the unit, participating as appropriate to ensure the well-being of our patients.
  • Attend meetings as required, participating on committees as directed to promote cooperation and effective working relationships with physicians and other departments.
  • Adhere to BSHSI rules, regulations, and policies, ensuring a positive and professional work environment.

Requirements:

  • Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Three years of experience in Surgical Services, with demonstration of managerial/leadership skills.
  • Current licensure in good standing with the South Carolina Board of Nurse Examiners.
  • BCLS and ACLS certification required, with certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in Connect Care Essentials I and II for RN, eMAR for RNs (RX210), and OpTime Advanced class for specific Surgical Services area.
