Job Summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking an experienced Avionics Technician Lead to join our team in Savannah. As a key member of our service center, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating electrical/avionics activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan, schedule, and complete tasks on work authorizations to meet master schedule deadlines.
  2. Coordinate electrical and avionics activities to meet aircraft schedules and deadlines.
  3. Supervise and instruct electrical technicians on technical procedures, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
  4. Review daily job charging for accuracy and maintain a preventive maintenance program on test equipment and tools.
  5. Stay up-to-date with Aircraft Service Changes, Customer Bulletins, and other procedures related to aircraft maintenance and servicing.
  6. Enforce safety regulations, including FOD, tool control, and 5-S programs.
  7. Adapt to sudden schedule changes and coordinate with other disciplines on projects.
Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years experience on large/mid-size aircraft; 8 years experience in aircraft avionics/electrical career field, or equivalent education and experience.
  2. FAA A&P license or ability to obtain a repairman certificate within 30 days.
  3. Preferred proficiency in other aircraft systems or disciplines, such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structural installations and repairs.
  4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  5. Demonstrated leadership ability and ability to plan, organize, and implement objectives with minimal direction.
  6. Ability to read and interpret electrical/avionics system drawings and blueprints.
  7. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small-space restricted areas, and lift up to 100 pounds.
