Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Inclusion Program Coordinator to join our team at the Champaign Park District. As an Inclusion Program Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless integration for individuals with diverse abilities.

About the Role

The Inclusion Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing Inclusion Assistants and coordinating their assignments across the District's programs. This involves scheduling, conducting evaluations, and addressing placement challenges. You will also be involved in developing behavior and inclusion plans, providing necessary accommodations, and supporting participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and coordinate Inclusion Assistant assignments
  • Supervise Inclusion Assistants to ensure effective performance
  • Develop and implement behavior and inclusion plans
  • Provide necessary accommodations and emotional support to participants
  • Facilitate issue resolution and communication between program staff and CUSR staff
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 21 years old
  • Coursework and/or experience in therapeutic recreation, recreation, special education, or related areas
  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory capacity
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience with individuals with disabilities of various ages and diagnosis
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide training opportunities, including First Aid, AED, and CPR Certification, as well as Harassment prevention training and Bloodborne pathogen training.
