Patient Care Technician Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Care Technician to join our team at The Little Clinic. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in maintaining a safe and quality-based healthcare environment, adhering to Joint Commission Accreditation standards.
- Greet patients and potential patients, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
- Clean and organize the clinic space daily, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Answer patient questions, following HIPAA guidelines, and consult with providers for scope of services.
- Utilize Patient Queue, Appointment Tool, and Patient Kiosk systems to effectively manage waiting room flow.
- Complete registration processes, verifying patient identity and collecting payments.
- Collect patient insurance information, collect payments, and log in the EHR.
- Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain vital signs, and enter data in the EHR.
- Provide waiting patients with guidance on registration, wait time, services, and payment methods.
- Answer phones, respond to questions, and return patient/provider calls, completing daily patient call backs per policy.
- Participate in off-site events and prepare packages, laboratory specimens, and mail for shipping.
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent administrative, communication, and organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Basic math skills (i.e., counting, addition, and subtraction)
- Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced, team-based environment
- Excellent customer service, organizational, and task-management skills
