The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality care to our residents in a long-term care setting. As an LPN, you will work under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to residents of all ages, including administering medications, treatments, and performing testing to evaluate resident status.
- Contribute to the assessment of residents and develop care plans to meet their physical and psychosocial needs.
- Document resident interactions, outcomes, and medication administration to ensure accurate and timely care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide technical support and ensure effective communication.
- Counsel residents, family members, and advocates on prevention and treatment plans, under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
