Job Overview

The selected candidates will engage directly with our clientele, collaborating with colleagues at Guinn, Vinopal & Zahradka, LLP to deliver outstanding client service. Our firm is a locally operated public accounting practice with a dedicated team of approximately 35 professionals. We focus on assisting small to mid-sized enterprises and their proprietors with tax compliance and strategic tax planning. Additionally, we provide payroll services, sales tax assistance, bookkeeping, and comprehensive accounting solutions for our business clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and/or review of income tax filings for businesses (primarily 1065/1120S) and individuals.
  • Conduct tax research and document findings as required.
  • Ensure proactive communication and timely service delivery to our clients.
  • Maintain current knowledge of tax regulations and compliance obligations.
  • Organize tax documentation in a digital format.
  • Prepare responses to tax inquiries and/or audits.
  • Gather information from clients for tax return preparation, which may involve virtual or in-person consultations.
  • Assist with tax planning and forecasting initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting.
  • CPA certification or the potential to obtain CPA certification is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a proactive communication style.
  • A strong sense of initiative and a commitment to professional development.
