This role is pivotal in enhancing our client's infrastructure into a sophisticated enterprise-level environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the deployment, management, and monitoring of Microsoft Server infrastructure.
  • Ensure the environment's vulnerability management is effectively handled.
  • Maintain compliance with information security policies and procedures.
  • Support annual security accreditation and uphold security standards throughout the year.
  • Develop and implement configuration settings for all systems to align with security requirements.
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert for resolving issues related to private or hosted infrastructure.
  • Represent IT's interests on complex projects and escalate concerns to management as necessary.
  • Plan, schedule, and communicate system changes to team members prior to implementation.
  • Champion the development and implementation of best practices, policies, and procedures for the IT Systems group.
  • Manage risk in daily operations supporting the infrastructure.
  • Maintain and enhance documentation essential for infrastructure management.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenges or deliver solutions.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers and administrators.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Certifications: Relevant certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, VMware, ITIL, or other technology engineering certifications.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A.), technology trade school, or relevant training programs.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in tier 1 systems architecture, implementation, support, and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in supporting data center infrastructure hardware and software.
  • 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure in both virtual and physical environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft System Center Suite (SCCM/MCEM, SCOM, etc.).
  • Expertise in managing Active Directory, preferably in a multi-domain and OU environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server or Office 365 management.
  • Proficient in managing Group Policies to enforce standards.
  • Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages for administrative tasks.
  • Strong ability to develop, document, and communicate technical processes and standards.
  • Ability to approach challenges from multiple perspectives.
  • Adherence to change control protocols and attention to detail.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in environments with stringent security standards.
  • Familiarity with SSO or MS Federated services.
  • Experience managing public or private cloud solutions.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to analyze data for informed infrastructure decisions.
