Senior Software Quality Engineer (Remote Opportunity):

We are seeking a highly skilled individual with a strong background in software quality assurance, particularly in the realm of embedded systems.

Experience Requirements:

Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the field.

Role Overview:

This role involves the design and development of software for a medical device or IoT solution utilizing RTOS on ARM Cortex architecture. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in Embedded Real-time Systems, C programming, RTOS, multi-threading, and event-driven software development. Familiarity with ARM Cortex, ThreadX, and USB protocols will be advantageous. Responsibilities will include creating new code as well as troubleshooting and refining existing legacy code.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of pertinent experience.
  • Proficient in C programming for real-time embedded applications.
  • Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems.
  • Knowledge of multi-threaded programming, including both asynchronous and synchronous methodologies.
  • Skilled in debugging and utilizing debugging tools.
  • Able to thrive in an agile, cross-functional team setting.
  • Excellent communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ARM Cortex M4.
  • Familiarity with ThreadX (RTOS).
  • Knowledge of USB or networking protocols, including TCP/IP.
  • Experience with XML and JSON data formats.
  • Background in legacy code refactoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, debug, and implement components of operating systems, software tools, and utilities.
  • Assess and define systems software design requirements.
  • Ensure successful implementation and monitoring of system enhancements to boost efficiency.
  • Establish systems software engineering policies, standards, and procedures.
