Job SummaryThe Surgical Technologist will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. This individual will assist the surgeon and RNs in operative procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to strict protocols.
Responsibilities- Prepare operating rooms and equipment for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and RNs during operations, maintaining a sterile environment
- Monitor and maintain equipment, supplies, and inventory
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth procedure execution
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or certification preferred
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- Surgical Technologist certification required within 6 months of hire; or Associate's degree and 2 years of experience if certification is not obtained
