Job Summary:The Director of Nursing will be responsible for championing the Nursing Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents, and promoting a culture of excellence within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement the written staffing plan to reflect the needs of the department.
- Perform rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care.
- Develop, manage, and evaluate department policies and procedures in accordance with current rules and regulations.
- Deliver written and oral reports to the Executive Director as necessary concerning the operation of the nursing department.
- Review complaints and grievances filed by residents, family members, and nursing staff.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with annual surveys.
- Represent the Organization both onsite and in the community.
- Maintain regulatory compliance in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, staff, and medical team.
- Current Massachusetts RN Licensure.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in a long-term care facility and/or with the Geriatric population.
- Effective supervisory and mentorship abilities.
