Job Summary:

The Director of Nursing will be responsible for championing the Nursing Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents, and promoting a culture of excellence within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the written staffing plan to reflect the needs of the department.
  • Perform rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care.
  • Develop, manage, and evaluate department policies and procedures in accordance with current rules and regulations.
  • Deliver written and oral reports to the Executive Director as necessary concerning the operation of the nursing department.
  • Review complaints and grievances filed by residents, family members, and nursing staff.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with annual surveys.
  • Represent the Organization both onsite and in the community.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, staff, and medical team.
Requirements:
  • Current Massachusetts RN Licensure.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in a long-term care facility and/or with the Geriatric population.
  • Effective supervisory and mentorship abilities.
