We are a team of professionals dedicated to serving individuals battling substance use disorders, including Opioid Use Disorder and Stimulant Use Disorder. Our network specializes in providing Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) to those in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy, case management, and crisis intervention services to clients, aligning with their treatment plans.
  • Document services provided in weekly notes, individual notes, and information notes, adhering to Northstar Behavioral Health Network policies and governing body standards.
  • Document case activity notes and important information.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual client needs, in accordance with Northstar Behavioral Health Network policies and governing body standards.
  • Complete and document assessments as per Northstar Behavioral Health Network policies and governing body standards.
  • Participate in weekly case staffing meetings and supervision meetings.
  • Provide progress reports to court, Department of Corrections, and other referral sources as requested.
  • Collaborate with outside agencies to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Ensure discharge procedures align with contracts, licensure standards, and Northstar Behavioral Health Network policies.
  • Stay updated on core competencies related to co-occurring disorders through continuing education and implement skills into treatment.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Valid LADC licensure in the state of MN
  • At least 1 year of addiction counseling experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of MN Statutes related to providing services for the population Northstar Behavioral Health Network serves
  • CPR Certification or attainment within 30 days of employment
  • Pass a State of Minnesota Background Check
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite programs
  • Familiarity with the Medication for Opioid Use Disorder Model (preferred)
  • Specialty training such as DBT-SUD, CBT, MI, etc. (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Procentive, Electronic Health Record System (preferred)
