Job Summary:

The primary role of the Direct Care Counselor is to provide care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, brain injury, and mental health in a Residential Programs setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide supervision to clients at all times during and by keeping the daily schedule of the program
  • Ensure the client's complete daily life skills including personal hygiene
  • Ensure the safety of residents (physical and emotional) well-being
  • Ensure that the program policies are followed and document any deviation of said policies
  • Supervise clients during meals
  • Other duties as assigned including assisting with meals if needed
Requirements:
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience working with disabled adults in a healthcare setting
  • Must be self-motivated with a positive, energetic, and professional demeanor
