Position Overview:

ICONMA, L.L.C. is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse RN to join our Long-Term Care team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to residents, ensuring their well-being and comfort.

The RN plays a vital role in resident care, adhering to care plans, facility protocols, and professional nursing standards while supervising Nursing Assistants.


Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct nursing assessments to evaluate the health status of residents and formulate nursing diagnoses that guide care strategies.

- Create individualized care plans based on assessments and nursing diagnoses; implement nursing interventions and assess their effectiveness.

- Coordinate external physician visits to address residents' medical needs.
- Facilitate effective communication with physicians and family members to meet resident requirements.
- Provide education to residents, families, and staff to ensure clarity regarding the residents' care plans.
- Uphold and promote the philosophy of resident choice and rights.
- Administer and document routine and emergency medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Exhibit knowledge of medications and their potential side effects.
- Ensure clinical records are accurately maintained for continuity and quality of care.
- Implement safety and infection control measures to maintain a secure and hygienic environment for residents and staff.

As an integral member of the interdisciplinary team, you will engage in the Quality Management program to uphold care standards within the facility.

- Serve as the primary contact during assigned shifts, effectively supervising resident assistants to ensure adherence to care plans.

- Demonstrate proficiency in IV therapy, including initiating IVs, administering initial medications, and managing central lines and catheters.
