Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Oncology Infusion RN to join our team at Danbury Hospital. As an Oncology Infusion RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and administering chemotherapy treatments in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to ensure safe and effective treatment.
  • Administer chemotherapy treatments, including biologics, immune mediators, and growth stimulating factors, in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding cancer treatment, side effects, and symptom management.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between treatment phases.
  • Document patient information and treatment outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current RN licensure in the State of Connecticut
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
  • BLS certification
  • Advanced proficiency in administration of chemotherapy, including biologic immune mediators and growth stimulating factors
Preferred Qualifications
  • OCN certification

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The successful candidate will be able to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
