Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Systems Inspector to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a Fire Alarm Systems Inspector, you will be responsible for testing and inspecting fire alarm systems with our existing and new customer base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test and inspect fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed using provided tools
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times
  • Follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors and colleagues
  • Carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs
  • Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment
  • Work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer needs
  • Maintain a safe and professional work environment
Requirements
  • Installation or service experience in testing and inspecting fire alarm equipment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly
  • Capable of performing physical labor
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Obtain NICET I certification within 1 year of employment
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and smartphone proficiency
