Project Manager Job Description

MAU Workforce Solutions is seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee project planning, execution, and delivery for Fluor Nuclear Power in Aiken, SC. As a Project Manager, you will coordinate teams, manage resources, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Shift Information:

  • Monday – Friday – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Required Education and Experience:

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in a relevant field of study AND
  • Twelve (12) years of related work experience
  • OR Combination of education and directly related experience totaling sixteen (16) years for non-degreed candidates
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction/construction management (EPFC/CM) project management

  • Strong communication skills with diverse audiences, including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Technical expertise required to perform job responsibilities effectively
  • Ability to learn and apply relevant local, state/provincial, and federal/national regulations and guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently within time constraints
  • Engage in continued learning through Fluor University courses
  • Leverage Knowledge Management processes to capture and apply relevant insights to improve project execution
  • Contribute to sales and marketing efforts

Preferred Requirements:

  • Strong jobsite experience with a solid understanding of construction safety programs
  • International project management experience in diverse cultural environments is recommended
  • Proven success as a project manager on at least two medium-sized projects or significant roles in large EPFC/CM projects
  • Completed all required in-house and external project management courses
  • Strong knowledge of project design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup processes
  • Proficient in Project Controls and Finance, including scheduling, risk management, cost control, and reporting (GPM, PSR, PMAR)
  • Understanding of contract law, regulatory requirements, and project funding
  • Leadership skills with the ability to influence teams and clients
  • Problem-solving abilities in complex project environments
  • Willingness to relocate to project sites when necessary
  • Basic computer skills (word processing, email, spreadsheets, presentations)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is recommended

Essential Functions:

  • Emphasize Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards throughout all project phases
  • Ensure all aspects of the project align with contractual obligations, Fluor's Operating System Requirements (OSR), and the relevant Operating System Implementation Plan (OSIP)
  • Maintain full compliance with Fluor's prime contract, including client reporting, notifications, project system start-up, and close-out processes
  • Ensure project standards for Baseline Centric Execution, safety, quality, and productivity are met at all Fluor-managed locations
  • Establish and maintain the project baseline, ensuring it is fully documented, updated throughout the project lifecycle, and effectively communicated to the project team
  • Deliver the project in line with execution and commercial baselines
  • Perform other duties as assigned
