About the Role

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is seeking a dedicated Instructional Aide to join our team. As an Instructional Aide, you will play a vital role in providing individualized supervision and instruction to assigned students, while also supporting the core classroom staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and behavioral intervention strategies to meet each student's goals and objectives.
  • Provide job coaching duties, assisting students in developing work behavior and specific employment skills.
  • Document student behavior and progress, reporting observations to relevant staff and making recommendations.
  • Assist in preparation of behavioral reports and daily activities logs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information and records.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalency.
  • Active paraprofessional license preferred.
  • Prior experience working with children, preferably in an education or classroom setting.
  • Prior experience working with students in a special education program setting preferred.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and apply concepts of basic math.
  • Valid CA driver's license.
  • Working knowledge of computer software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
