We are seeking a Retail Alternatives Investment Specialist to join our dynamic sales team focused on the US market. This team is dedicated to enhancing the sales and service of all Alternative products through our network of Intermediary Distributors and their Financial Advisors. The selected candidate will engage closely with our Product and Investment teams, the National Accounts team, and the South Division Field sales teams to stimulate sales across various alternative investment products and vehicles.
Your Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact for US Retail Alternatives Sales within the South region for designated products.
- Collaborate with Regional Managers and Consultants to foster relationships with advisors and key influencers.
- Articulate complex Alternative strategies to financial advisors, emphasizing areas such as opportunistic credit, tangible assets, direct lending, commercial real estate, and hedge funds.
- Deliver in-depth insights into the investment process, global market perspectives, and advocate strongly for our services.
- Develop and uphold a strategic business plan to identify, target, and service top alternative investment users in your area.
- Support the organization and execution of roadshows and industry conferences.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the alternative investment sector, preferably with a focus on credit markets.
- Comprehensive knowledge of public registered and private fund structures, including BDCs, REITs, Interval Funds, and Limited Partnerships.
- A solid understanding of retail alternative market trends and the competitive landscape.
- Series 7 FINRA certification.
- Current CAIA designation or progress towards it is preferred.
- Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure while managing multiple tasks, meeting tight deadlines, and maintaining strategic relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Capacity to influence decisions through strategic insights based on extensive knowledge of Alternatives and global distribution.
- Strong marketing and communication skills, with the ability to craft and sustain a compelling narrative for the firm's offerings.
- A collaborative team player with exceptional interpersonal skills, including negotiation and influence.
- A passion for engaging directly with both internal and external clients to enhance their product knowledge and support our sales initiatives.
- Outstanding organizational and communication abilities.
- Must reside in the South Region and be willing to travel.
